HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SITE'S AD COPY

Web copy is crucial to your online success! Your site should compel your visitors into action, but for many this is difficult to achieve. I personally find writing effective ad copy a chore, albeit a necessary one. Here are a few guidelines to improve your site's ad copy:

1. EDUCATE YOURSELF:

Learn from the experts by visiting sites with powerful online ad copy. Use them as templates to make your site even more profitable.

Take a look at Jonathan Mizel's  (good example of effective online ad copy!) See if you could modify some of his techniques for your own site without copying anything specifically.

Find some books that deal with ad copywriting such as Ken Evoy's "Make Your Site Sell", which is overflowing with ideas, at and the irresistible "Hypnotic Writing" book by Joe Vitale available at

Explore the search engines for links to articles or books written by experts such as Jay Abraham, Ted Nicholas, and Marlon Sanders.

His first suggestion is common sense, but rarely is it used. In the first paragraph of your site, let your visitor know exactly what your site is about and how it will specifically benefit them... Simple yet effective!

2. ASK/MONITOR FEEDBACK:

Once you have alered the design on your site, such as your offer, headlines, or the sales letter, make sure to monitor your results. Ask for feedback from your visitors using a simple email link or feedback form from Masterlinks.

Next, check your sales to see if they have increased after re-writing your online sales letter. If not, tweak the site until your sales or visitor counts have escalated to your satisfaction.

3. HIRE EXPERTS:

Sometimes, the effort that you have invested in your site compels you to hire an expert ad copywriter. Go for it! The money that you spend will be well worth the extra cost to boost your sales.
